The MSS90L is a longer version of the MSS90, which is a multiparameter probe for measuring micro-scale water stratification as well as the intensity of small scale turbulence in water down to approx. 500 m (optional for 1000 m). The longer version (MSS90L) is 250 mm longer than the MSS90 and is therefore calmer in the water.
The MSS90L profiler may be equipped with up to 9 different sensors mounted at the bottom cap .
The microstructure measuring system comprises the MSS profiler, a special winch, a probe interface and a data acquisition computer. The probe interface is adapted to the PC (laptop or desktop) via USB port.
